When God Refused To Answer

“And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets” (1 Sam. 28: 6).

“And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, 24O Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your might? 25I pray you, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. 26But the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, That is sufficient; speak no more unto me of this matter. 27Get up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with your eyes: for you shall not go over this Jordan”  (Deut. 3: 23-27).

“Surely these things happened to Judah according to the LORD’s command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done, 4 including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the LORD was not willing to forgive” (2 Kings 24: 3-4).

“Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies whatever they shall blaspheme: 29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit has never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal judgment: 30Because they said, He has an unclean spirit” (Mark 3: 28-30).

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Cor. 12: 7-9).

“If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death” (1 John 5: 16-17).

“For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” (Heb. 10: 26-27).

I have listed some passages that illuminate situations where God refused prayers. Well, we have people who claim that a child of God cannot “lose” his salvation and that is correct because the word “lose” means to be unwillingly dispossessed of something. However, one can return his/her salvation to God and the passages are clear on that.

Lastly, I want to challenge you to look up at the confession verses for these passages and form them into a single confession to immunize yourself against these impossible situations.
