Romans Chapter 9 (Part)

1 I always speak the truth in Christ; I don’t tell lies, my conscience confirms my words in the Holy Spirit.

4 My adoption as God’s son is a great act combinative of God’s unparalleled grace, tender mercies and special election; this is clearly so because mine is not the original adoption as a son; mine was not the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.

of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.

7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”

8 In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise, like me (put your name) who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.

9 This is evident in the promise that pro- duced Isaac: “At this time will I return, and Sarah will have a son…”
