I am faithful; I know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God. I am a friend of God and an enemy of the world.
I know what the Scriptures mean when they say that the spirit God caused to live in me envies intensely.
But He gives me more grace. Just as Scripture says, God opposes the proud but gives grace to me the humble.
I submit myself to God. I resist the devil, and he flees from me.
I live in God’s presence. My hands are clean, and my heart purified; I am single-minded.
All these because I grieve, mourn and wail over errors. I change my laughter to mourning and my joy to gloom.
I humble myself before the Lord, and He lifts me up.
Idon’t slander. To speak against a brother or judge him is to speak against the law and judge it. To judge the law is not to keep it, but sitting in judgment on it.
There is only one Law giver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But who am I to judge my neighbor?
I am not the Architect or Designer of my today or tomorrow.
My God and only Him knows tomorrow. My life is not mine but His.
My word and disposition thus say, “If it is the Lord’s will, I will live and do this or that.”
As it is,I boast and brag but in the Lord. My boasting is godly and acceptable to God.
I, therefore, know the good I ought to do and righteously do it…
