2 Samuel 2 (Part)
1–3 I don’t act on instincts or opportunity; I enquire of the Lord and He orders my steps. I walk by the leadings of the Holy Spirit. He guides my step. I seek and obtain detailed directions from the Lord. I don’t take blind and stupid steps. I consult the Holy Spirit who knows tomorrow. He leads me to where to achieve God’s purpose on my life.
4 The anointing of a king attracts kingship; the anointing for power assumes power. The anointing on my life for God’s purpose cannot be stopped; by the anointing, I shall manifest as a son of God.
5 I appreciate kindness and celebrate loyalty to the name of God.
6 The LORD shows me kindness and faithfulness, and I too show the same favor even to my enemies and those that wish them well.
9 I am not deceived or bothered by the Ishbosheth factor — an apparent but false annulment of prophecy. David was God’s anointed king over all Israel but Satan installed a lame duck but only for a short time allowed by God for someone’s cup to fill up. Nothing can contradict the word of God in my life. Any contrary thing against me is a mere Ishbosheth factor.
12 I practice unity, not a murderous grab- bing of the head and thrusting of dag- ger into the side game. I don’t start that which would end in bitterness among brothers.
23 I know my strength and weaknesses; I am brave but not overconfident.
