2 John
1 My children and I are chosen. I am loved in the truth by God and all who know the truth —
2 because of the truth, which lives in me and will be with me forever:
3 Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, are with me in truth and love.
4 My children give me great joy. They walk in the truth, just as the Father command- ed me.
5 I keep the command given from the beginning. I love all others.
6 And this is love: that I walk in obedience to His commands. His command is that I walk in love.
7 I am a believer; I acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.
8 I am watchful and will not lose what I have worked for, and I will be rewarded fully.
9 I am steady. I continue in the teaching of Christ because I have God; I continue in the teaching and have both the Father and the Son.
10 I take not into my house or welcome anyone who comes to me that doesn’t bring this teaching.
11 I refuse to welcome him because I will not share in his wicked work.
12 My physical presence and face-to-face talks with the people of God invoke complete joy to them.
