2 Timothy Chapter 3 (Part)
1 I know there will be terrible times in the last days.

2 Nevertheless, I am a lover of others, master over money, modest and humble, cordial, obedient to my parents, grateful, holy,

3 loving, forgiving, fair-tongued, self-controlled, kind, lover of the good,

4 loyal, pleasant, level-headed, lover of God rather than lover of pleasure —

5 having godliness coupled with its power. I have nothing to do with anyone contrary to this.

6 I am not of the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak- willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires.

7 I cannot be described as, “always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.”

8 I am not Jannes and Jambres who opposed Moses; I don’t oppose the truth — my mind is not depraved and as far as the faith is concerned, I am accepted in the beloved.

10 I, however, know all about godly teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,

11 persecutions, sufferings — what kinds of things happened to Paul in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions he endured. Yet the Lord rescued him from all of them.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But as for me, I continue in what I have learned and have become convinced of, because I know the Lord Jesus Christ…
