Proverbs 11
1 I am the son of my father, the Lord; I abhor dishonest scales but accurate weights are my delight.
2 I am humble and, therefore, attract wisdom; pride is repulsive to me and, there- fore, will not come to disgrace.
3 The integrity of Christ guides me but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
4 Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but Christ’s righteousness delivers me from death.
5 The righteousness of Christ makes a straight way for me, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.
6 The righteousness of Christ delivers me, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.
7 When a wicked man dies, his hope per- ishes; all he expected from his power comes to nothing. My case is different; I am going from life to eternal life and gain.
